Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Community Health & Social Health, the Executive Director drives strategic excellence in the design, development, and national deployment of grantmaking, community engagement, and community health program strategies. This role integrates oversight of funding platforms, operational processes, and systems to steward resources while advancing innovative approaches targeting social determinants of health (SDOH) and promoting health equity. The Executive Director manages cross-functional initiatives to scale programs, streamline charitable contributions, and align KPs community health efforts with organizational priorities. This role leads employee engagement in community volunteerism and oversees the development of systems and processes for efficient execution of community health strategies, ensuring seamless collaboration across national and regional teams. The position involves extensive collaboration with procurement teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure community health resources are deployed effectively, fostering partnerships and aligning funding approaches with KPs mission.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Directs strategic planning and execution of enterprise-wide community health programs addressing SDOH, including housing, food security, mental health, and workforce development
- Designs and implements innovative, scalable community health initiatives aligned with KPs mission and equity goals
- Shapes strategy for grant investments and charitable contributions, ensuring alignment with KPs Community Health vision
- Drives development of community engagement strategies and national disaster response initiatives
- Partners with Community Health/Social Health leaders across the enterprise to set and execute strategy, priorities, and common initiatives
- Works closely with Regional VPs, Program Area leaders, and National CH/SH VPs to accelerate execution and achieve outcomes
- Ensures system-wide strategic alignment in community benefit administration, reporting, and compliance
- Manages Community Health Charitable Contributions Shared Services, including:
- Grant Management Systems
- Operational Execution
- Program Planning
- Partner Engagement
- Performance Measurement
- Oversees systems for grant submissions, reviews, and payments to ensure operational efficiency
- Develops and executes roadmaps for community health program scaling
- Establishes center of excellence for contract management
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
- Minimum ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in philanthropic/charitable sectors
- Minimum five (5) years of healthcare experience
Education
- Bachelors degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or similar field required
License, Certification, Registration
- N/A
Additional Requirements:
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate complex subjects to broad audiences
- Experience working in complex organizational settings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Public Health, Business Administration or Healthcare Administration preferred
