Description:
Job Summary:

Provide technical and patient care support to members and other customers. Sell, fit, dispense, measure and adjust contact lenses and other optical devices in accordance with written prescriptions.

Essential Responsibilities:


  • Eyewear selection, sales, and dispensing.

  • Contact lens selection, sale, fitting and instruction. Problem solving.

  • Rx ordering, check-in of Rxs, Verification, Lab functions such as tinting, edging, repairs, contact lens modification and polishing.

  • Fill staff shortage in other areas.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience


  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience.

Education

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
  • Dispensing Optician License (Washington) required at hire
      OR
  • American Board of Opticianry Basic Certification required at hire AND National Contact Lens Examiner - Basic Certification required at hire
Additional Requirements:

  • Proficiency in all aspects of opticianary.
  • Craftsmanship skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree OR a minimum of two (2) years experience in a directly related field.
