Description:
Job Summary:

Position is responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of KP HealthConnect integrated services and Bridges Interfaces across the enterprise. 


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the total cost of ownership of the integrated services within KP HealthConnect including the budgets for both core and investment programs, new modules, upgrades, refreshes, maintenance and support, and any Epic honor roll or maintenance discount programs.
  • Formulate the KP HealthConnect multiyear strategic roadmap for release and environments partnering with CTO, IMG and Epic to advance the technical platforms and services supporting all KP HealthConnect. 
  • Coordinate the sourcing and strategic expansion of contracted services both on and off-shore for all regions and modules and builds a vendor management strategy within the guidelines provided by Epic and the corresponding business associate agreements (BAAs). 
  • Manage and support KP HealthConnect processes for broad shared decision making including the Regional Care Delivery Leadership Team (RCDLT), Enhancement Change Board (ECB), Technical Operations and other forums as needed for change and approval.
  • Work closely with TRO Cyber Security, IAM and compliance teams to ensure KP HealthConnect access is provided timely, securely and compliantly.
  • Manage and track KP HealthConnect-s adherence to IT Problem, Change and Service Management and compliance processes including SOX, HIPPA and others in conjunction with APO, ASG, IT Operations, CTO.
  • Partner with product teams to develop product strategies while looking for synergies across multiple groups, examples include the technology solutions, patching, customized code tracking and integration. 
  • Ensure architectural alignment of Epic platforms with Enterprise Architecture and IT Operations to create and manage the Epic technology strategic roadmap.
  • Accountable for KPHC Tier 2 Production Support processes, including incident management and integration points with IT Operations organizations in support of KP HealthConnect.
  • Develop National Environments and Enterprise Master File Infrastructure (EMFI) strategy and solutions to support collaborative build and regional needs.
  • Manage Application Enhancement governance, tracking and delivery in partnership with KPHC technical teams and Epic. 
  • Create strategic plans to support greater efficiency and affordability across the KP HealthConnect platform in collaboration with Epic and KP IT organizations (i.e. instance consolidation opportunities, strategic programs & partnerships, unique business arrangements that require KP HealthConnect implementation)
  • Responsible for the overall configuration, build and delivery for any new KP HealthConnect bridges interfaces throughout the product life cycle, including gathering product requirements, defining product vision, creating preliminary design concepts, and working closely with engineering and/or vendors to implement new features and services.
  • Sets direction and provides management of team responsible for all build, configuration and testing of Health Information Exchange (HIE) which is inclusive of the Care Everywhere module and KP Orchestra application.  This is inclusive of the management, contracts and connectivity for all national networks (Care Everywhere, Carequality, eHealth Exchange and TEFCA) along with knowledge and expertise of QHIO/QHIN based organizations and technologies supporting interoperability.
  • Provides expertise and guidance on Interoperability regulatory initiatives (e.g., 21st Century Cures Information Blocking, Promoting Interoperability, Public Health Reporting, HTI-1, HTI-2, CA Data Exchange Framework, etc.) and national standards supporting interoperability (CCDA, XCPD/XCR, HISP, Direct, FHIR R4, etc.).
Basic Qualifications:
Experience

  • Minimum ten (10) years of leading teams in complex, integrated applications.
Education

  • Bachelors degree OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing relationships with regional KP HealthConnect leadership teams strongly preferred
  • Experience with complex interfaces between electronic health record and clinical ancillary systems preferred
  • Master-s degree preferred in Information Systems/CS
