2025 Summer Internship Program
Location:
This role is scheduled to be 100% remote. While remote, finalists MUST reside in one of the following states to be eligible for employment with Kaiser Permanente: CA, OR, WA, HI, CO, GA, MD, VA, CT, DC, or IL.
Department Description:
The National Product Design and Management organization optimizes our health plan product and capability portfolio to support Kaiser Permanente’s overarching growth and retention business objectives. The National Product Design and Management team drives the vision, strategy, design, and execution of Kaiser Permanente’s product suite across the end-to-end product development and management life-cycle. We are structured to support national and regional product and capability needs utilizing common tools and analytic models to ensure consistent and effective work. This role will work with product managers for ancillary and supplemental products in KP's plan portfolios for commercial and Medicare Advantage businesses.
Intern Project(s):
Assist with the creation of a standard template for Product Lifecycle management (i.e., stages of the product, performance, management of decline of product). Meeting with stakeholders for engagement and execution of this work. Archival processes, tracking workload.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.
- Report development and analytics.
- Project management - planning, execution, and measurement.
- Learning new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.
- Job shadowing in other functional areas.

- Pursuing a graduate degree or have completed a graduate program from an accredited university within the last year.

- Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- 3.0 GPA or above
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
