Description:
Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Chief or Assistant Chief Engineer, performs activities concerned with design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery in medical center facility.  Provides functional assistance to Stationary Engineers in the discharge of repair and preventative maintenance activities. Executes limited maintenance, parts stocking, and cleanup functions.

Essential Responsibilities:

Assists and or executes assigned maintenance functions and activities under direct supervision, performing functional activities and minor repairs. Transports materials and supplies to and from work storage sites. Manages product receiving and stocking. Executes necessary housekeeping functions in storage and equipment spaces. Performs minor repairs of light fixtures, toilets, and sinks. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Corporate Compliance Accountability: Consistently supports the precepts of Corporate Compliance and Principles of Responsibility by maintaining confidentiality, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with integrity, reporting observed fraud and abuse and complying with applicable state, federal and local laws and program policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).



  • Six + months basic mechanical and/or elcetrical experience.



  • Basic mechanical and electrical experience.



  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  



  • Ability to write simple correspondence.



  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other incumbents of the organization.
