Description:
Job Summary:

This position serves a key leadership role for an enterprise approach to the management, delivery and value realization of strategic initiatives related to the efficient and effective care coordination for KP members served in KP facilities and plan hospitals.  The position is accountable for implementing enterprise initiatives at the national and market level that ensure care without delay standards and processes are consistently delivered for desired optimal results. The role works closely with and coordinates with national, regional and local area executives to provide project/program management delivery, consulting, performance improvement, change management and business analytic support for program wide strategic initiatives that positively impact the organization.  Responsibilities include providing the structure to plan, implement, track, monitor and report on all major strategic initiatives.


Essential Responsibilities:


  • Partners with Hospital System Operations and other national departments to develop and implement a strategy to improve acute care coordination.

  • Assists national and regional services in identifying and implementing complex, enterprise-wide programs for improvement in care without delay performance and related outcome measures.  Examples of programs and initiatives would include development of enterprise standard playbook for Care Without Delay, development of standardized dashboard and status reports for market implementation and performance of CWD programs, development and deployment of standard orientation and training for CWD teams. 

  • Ensures successful enterprise-wide implementation of strategic initiatives that enable benefit realization in acute care coordination.   Examples of benefit realization would include achievement of specific quality outcomes for acute care patients, efficiency and effectiveness metrics that validate right care, right venue, right time.

  • Provides strategic consulting support to national, regional and medical center leadership as required to achieve program objectives – helping them to identify and resolve complex and cross-functional operational issues and/or implement programs that impact hospital operations across the enterprise. 

  • Develops working relationships and strategic partnerships with national, regional, and medical center executive leadership (KFH, HP, PMG) and related teams. 

  • Organizes, directs, and leads multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies and tactics that advance enterprise strategic goals and improve acute care coordination.

  • Working in conjunction with the national, regional and medical center leaders, develops measurement tools to track, monitor and trend operational performance and progress on specific projects.  Takes appropriate action to ensure projects and operational performance achieve intended results.

  • Acts as primary liaison between regional and national offices for acute care coordination initiatives and projects.

  • Develops, and presents executive level presentations and reports. 

  • Supports ad-hoc initiatives as needed.

Experience


  • Minimum ten (10) years of progressively relevant clinical and healthcare management experience.

Education

  • Bachelor-s degree in nursing or equivalent.
  • Masters degree required.
License, Certification, Registration

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience in managing clinical services, demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Demonstrated change management, project/program management, strategy development and process improvement skills.
  • Experience in consulting and leading multidisciplinary projects and teams with consistent record of achieving results. Includes skills and experience in process architecture, change management, and performance management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal along with executive level interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a matrix environment.
  • Experience in developing senior executive presentations.
  • Political savvy and the ability to influence and facilitate decision making across a diverse group of executive and functional leaders is critical.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in health services, nursing, public health administration, or related healthcare specific discipline.
