The primary focus of a Reflection, Education, Assessment, Coaching, and Health and well-being (REACH) Coach at the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine (KPSOM) is to inspire and support students to maximize their personal and professional potential, including resilience and well-being skills. The REACH coach will form a supportive and trusting relationship with medical students, partnering with them in a reflective process to enhance their medical school experience, maximize their potential, and augment their resilience and well-being skills. The coach will serve as a faculty member and responsible for coaching an allotted amount of medical students throughout their four years of medical school.

Assist students in setting SMART goals and develop action plans to achieve these goals.
- Serve as a role model: Demonstrate professional behavior, promote life-long learning, and encourage informed assessment and reflection. Support students in their physician professional identity formation.
