Description:
Job Summary:

Under supervision assists in the provision of information, maintenance of databases, report production and routine data analysis. Work is reviewed for completeness, accuracy and soundness.


Department Description:

Data Analytics, not limited to these examples, Oracle, SQL, SAS, Tableau, Power BI, Powershell, Power Automate, SAP Crystal Reports etc.
Automation using Selenium, Jenkins, UiPath Developer and Orchestrator etc.
KPHC (Epic) application enhancements using multiple methods available within and outside Epic.


Project Description:

Clinical data analysis using multiple tools, workflow automation, process automation, creating phi reports, creating dashboards using Power BI, Tableau or Crystal Reports. Using SQL/Oracle to create views, custom tables. Using SAS or Tableau prep for background processes. Using Windows Powershell, Power Automate or WinSCP to auto deliver files to SFTP or other locations. Using UiPath to automate Windows, Citrix or web workflows. Using Jenkins or UiPath orchestrator to stage and schedule jobs etc.

Eagerness to Learn: A growth mindset and curiosity to explore new tools and methodologies.
Adaptability: Comfort with learning and using new tools or adapting to changes in workflows.


Preferred Technical Skills:
Data Analysis Tools: Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel (advanced), Tableau, or Power BI for visualization and reporting.
Programming Languages: Basic knowledge of SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
Database Management: Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle) and ability to write and optimize queries.
Automation Tools: Experience or interest in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Power Automate.
Scripting: Understanding of VBA (Excel Macros) or other scripting languages to automate manual tasks.
Data Cleaning: Ability to preprocess and clean datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability.


Analytical Skills
Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze trends, patterns, and anomalies in data.
Problem-Solving: Aptitude for identifying inefficiencies and proposing automation solutions.
Statistical Analysis: Basic knowledge of statistics, including regression, hypothesis testing, and descriptive analytics.


Soft Skills
Attention to Detail: Precision in handling datasets, ensuring no errors in analysis or reporting.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate insights clearly.
Time Management: Capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred (But Not Required)
Experience with APIs: Basic understanding of connecting to and extracting data using APIs.
Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for hosting data or analytics tools.
Version Control: Basic understanding of Git for collaborative work.
Machine Learning: Exposure to basic machine learning concepts or libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow).

Computer Science, Business Administration, Math/Statistics, Healthcare Administration, Data Science.


Essential Responsibilities:

Examples of project support include: Collects, prepares and tracks reports and summaries such as: budget to actual expenditures, production statistics, and utilization of services and statistical records of performance. Performs a variety of data collection and analysis assignments. Prepares ad hoc data requests as directed. Prepares and/or formats graphs, spreadsheets and reports by utilizing office software. May be asked to maintain databases on a regular basis by entering data and preparing data extracts. May extract information from different sources to compile data. Executes existing queries for established reports.  Schedules conference calls and meetings. Contributes to the development of presentations materials. Provides administrative and project support as assigned such as copying, filing, entering and extracting data. Engages in and supports project work.  Kaiser Permanente conducts compensation reviews of positions on a routine basis.
