Description:
Job Summary:

Responsible for ordering, receiving, proper storage, rotation, inventory, and distribution of all food and non- food items. Prepares and places orders for all food and non-food items from approved vendors. Establishes par levels to ensure adequate stock of foods and supplies. Orders are placed using Just-In-Time principles to minimize overstocks and spoilage.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Upholds KPs Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities, and applicable state, federal and local laws
  • Maintains stock including ordering, requesting, taking inventory, and disposal
  • Keeps storage areas organized and clean
  • Collects and maintains written information including logs, menus, slips, charts, forms, requisitions, filing, and scheduling activities
  • Receives and maintains products utilizing food safety and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Policy (HACCP) principles in a sanitary environment
  • Processes and translates information including data entry, basic coding, and abstracting
  • Uses verbal communication skills effectively including telephone conversations w/ patients, doctors, and co-workers
  • Collects and maintains financial information including billing and accounting data, filing, and track financial information data
  • Analyzes information including reading report results, preparing mathematical calculations, and putting specific data into perspective
  • May orient and train new employees
Basic Qualifications:

Experience


  • One (1) year of experience in shipping and receiving

  • Knowledge of alpha numeric filing systems

  • Demonstrated ability to follow written and oral directions

  • Current CA drivers license may be required in certain departments as specified

  • Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.
