The Community Relations Consultant will dedicate approximately 70% of their time to managing community engagement projects and programs throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, with a primary focus on the Baltimore County area. The remaining 30% of their time will be spent coordinating internal and external stakeholder meetings and events at the Kaiser Permanente Center for Total Health in Washington, D.C. In addition to event coordination, the consultant will be responsible for tracking the center’s budget, overseeing vendor payments, and acting as a liaison to National Facilities Services for tenant issues and service needs. The role also includes tracking inventory and ensuring the security of assets at the center. Preferred skills: include proficiency with both PC and Apple laptops, as well as general computing equipment.
- Bachelors degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Sociology, Marketing, Business, Communications, Community Relations, Political Science, Public Relations, or related field AND minimum three (3) years of experience in community relations, community outreach, public relations, health care or public policy, nonprofit administration, or a directly related field OR Minimum six (6) years of experience in community relations, community outreach, public relations, health care or public policy, nonprofit administration, or a directly related field.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Event Planning; Written Communication
- One (1) year of experience building and managing relationships with external stakeholders.
- One (1) year of experience in community engagement.
