Description:
To provide diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, to include clerical and EKG duties as required. To perform all duties in a manner which promotes team concepts and reflects the KPNW mission and philosophy.
Job Summary:
To provide diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, to include clerical and EKG duties as required. To perform all duties in a manner which promotes team concepts and reflects the KPNW mission and philosophy.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic procedures in accordance with department policies and procedures, using knowledge, skills and abilities for age of patient served. To include: routine, emergent, portable, surgical and fluoroscopic examinations under direct supervision of licensed/registered Radiologic Technologist.
- Assist with patient and transportation staff.
- Perform EKGs, file room work, film processing, reception duties, operate computer, restock supplies, and maintain clean work area.
- Communicate all necessary information to other members of the healthcare team.
- Participate in on-call or standby schedule as required.

Education
- Currently enrolled in AMA approved program curriculum to include ARRT certification and state licensure.
License, Certification, Registration
- Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist - Temporary (Oregon)
- Basic Life Support within 1 months of hire
- Radiologic Technologist Certification within 12 months of hire from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Additional Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in AMA approved program curriculum to include ARRT certification and state licensure. Experience must be no more than three (3) years prior to the date of application for position.
- Daily use of diagnostic Radiology equipment.
- Daily use of computer and telephones.
- Daily user of film processor and multi-format/laser camera.
- Daily use of diagnostic aides.
- As needed use of ECG equipment.
- Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning; attention to detail; problem solving, decision making, judgment; technical skills; initiative; communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, organization relations.
- Knowledge of Policies and Procedures.
- Adaptability; flexibility.
- Prior work experience in health care environment.
