Essential Responsibilities:
NOTE: This position will require at least 2-3 days on site work at our Oregon/Southern WA Medical Centers.
Job Summary:
In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position is also responsible for contributing to the development of KPs threat management strategy, plan and process to enable the effective and timely response to identified threats and facilitate a threat management case management workflow. This includes the completion of complex tasks essential to the implementation of an organizational design for a shared service-based function which has the responsibility to lead threat management duties across the enterprise, and exercising advanced knowledge of security best practices to make recommendations for development of the larger organizational or business strategy.This position is also responsible for communicating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure an understanding of the risks and concerns affecting our personnel and businesses. This includes developing and implementing threat management processes in order to triage reported behaviors causing a safety concern, ensuring case status records are ethically and legally maintained, monitoring data trends within assigned area; leveraging evidence-based, data-driven threat assessment and management best-practices and leading the threat management team in forecasting and responding to direct threats and supporting service delivery teams in the field on following appropriate response protocols to mitigate anticipated or realized risks with appropriate guidance. Finally, this role will be responsible for building and maintaining engagement with agencies, industry associations, and other threat assessment and management security experts to drive innovation and best-in-class threat management programs.

- Monitors and prevents security incidents by: leveraging understanding of the security management plan to (if applicable) monitor premises, people, and systems (e.g., fire alarm, security, closed circuit television) to detect criminal violations or hazardous conditions in order to reduce crime, limit property loss, improve safety of physicians, employees and members, and minimize liability; maintaining positive relationships with internal department stakeholders, physicians, employees, and members; using judgment and discretion in resolving routine and non-routine security issues, which may include using protective equipment, with minimal guidance, escalating when appropriate; and identifying potential liability and security risks and alerting management.
- If applicable to the role, supports facility access control plan by: as relevant, adhering to complex guidelines for facilities access control, which may or may not include key control, ID badge management, controlling access to specific areas, locking and unlocking doors, providing emergency and after hours access as appropriate, providing escorts to sensitive areas, traffic control, and vendor/patient/visitor/personnel access management; and may or may not include complying with access control plan.
- If applicable to the role, leads response to security and threat incidents by: if relevant, maintaining own awareness of all current emergencies, disasters, and other incidents at facilities, with consideration for their impact and severity, and communicating with both internal and external stakeholders; as appropriate, participating in team response to emergencies, disasters, burglaries, and uncooperative or combative individuals; as appropriate, completing complex tasks that support plan execution for emergency response (e.g., lockdown procedures) within their team; as appropriate, conducts incident response training programs for security staff, employees, and physicians; as appropriate, performing tasks essential to the investigation of security incidents; as appropriate, evaluating security incident reports to identify trends and recommend improvements, with limited direction; and as appropriate, contributing to efforts to compile information on potential internal and external threats.
- Complies with safety and security policies and procedures by: using advanced knowledge of safety and security laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards to independently determine and execute a course of action across a variety work situations; as appropriate, participating in training programs for area security staff; contributing to the implementation of department policies; and proactively applying safety and security knowledge and training.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience establishing and managing threat management projects/programs.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a role supporting senior leadership, optimizing projects/programs through continuous improvement to effectively align people (staffing), processes, and technology.
- Minimum two (2) years project or program management experience.
- Bachelors degree in Behavioral/Mental Health (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, etc.), Nursing, Health Care, Public Administration, Business, Public Health, Disaster Management/Response, Forensic Sciences, or related field AND minimum five (5) years of experience in consulting, project management, data analytics, behavioral threat assessment and management, clinical operations, or a directly related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Threat Manager (CTM)
- Degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Psychology, and related fields

- Two (2) years experience using structured professional judgment approach to behavioral threat assessment and management practice.
- One (1) year of experience providing evidence-based, data-driven behavioral threat assessment and management case assessment and management consultation services.
- Two (2) years experience developing and communicating strategy and aligning projects, initiatives, and resources to execute against the strategy.
- Two (2) years experience in program transformation initiatives.
- Two (2) years experience interpreting and applying regulatory requirements.
- Membership in Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) or similar professional organization.
- Membership in the International Security Management Association (ISMA), American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS), or other Criminal Justice/Public Safety organizations.
- Two (2) years experience working with intermediate Excel functions, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formulas.
- Two (2) years facilitating meetings with work teams or management.
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Adult CPR/AED Certification.
