In addition to providing diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinic setting, to provide a leadership role responsible for the continuance of daily operations and assist in resolving problems with staff, equipment, and delivery of patient services. To maintain standards of patient care and work quality that promotes team concepts and reflects KPNW mission and philosophy.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties of technical position, using knowledge, skills and abilities required for age of patient served.
- Including: Routine, emergent, examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Coordinate daily activities of department to ensure proper workflow and quality of care is met to include scheduling of staff and day-to-day activity of patient procedures for MRI examinations.
- Quality Assurance Functions.
- Internal/external problem solving to include patient and staff concerns at first level.
- Coordinates employee in-service/orientation/training and department meetings to comply with staff/federal/local law for facility and staff needs.
- Ensure lateral staff communication/coordination with radiologists and other health care providers.
- Maintain and order supplies.
- Assist supervisor/manager.
- Other (as assigned). Participate in on-call or standby schedule as assigned.

- Associates degree in Radiologic Science or related field.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) OR Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist License (Oregon)
- Radiologic Technologist Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Magnetic Resonance Imaging within 12 months of hire from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Basic Life Support within 1 months of hire
- Daily use of MRI equipment, Imaging and health care computer system.
- Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communications with medical technical personnel.
- Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all personnel.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
- Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning; attention to detail; problem solving, decision making, judgment; technical skills; initiative; communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, organizational relations.
- Adaptability; knowledge of and adherence to Policies and Procedures; flexibility
- Minimum three (3) years work experience in modality (experience must be no more than three (3) years from the date of application).
- Prior leadership experience in an Imaging department or healthcare related field.
