Department Description:Institute for Health Research
Intern Project(s): Assist data team in organization of data resources and documentation (including but not limited to project archival and closeout as required by IRB and HIPAA policies), participate in grant preparation data requests, participate in testing of tools for accuracy and efficiency, and gain understanding of research data management and methods.
Target Majors:Computer Science or Data Science or Math/Statistics or Public Health
Target Skills: Critical thinking, self-starter, analytical/communication skills; proficiency in R, Python, SQL, or SAS.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Contributing to a designated project or initiative to meet a KP business objective.
- Report development and analytics.
- Project management - planning, execution, and measurement.
- Learning new applications needed to complete assignments or support the execution of business objectives.
- Job shadowing in other functional areas.
- Performing additional duties as required.
- The union and the company are currently investigating the bargaining unit status of this position. If it is determined that this is a bargaining unit position, bargaining unit status (seniority dates, dues payments etc.) will be applied on a retroactive basis based on the employment commencement date.

- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Pursuing a bachelors degree or have graduated with a Bachelors degree from an accredited university within the last year.
- 3.0 GPA or above.

- Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions.
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
- Pursuing a bachelors degree or have graduated with a Bachelors degree from an accredited Colorado university within the last year.
