Description:
Salary Range: $37.93/hour - $49.07/hour


Job Summary:

Supports the coordination of community relations activities, coordinates with stakeholders/vendors for these activities, and collects and analyzes outcome metrics with minimal guidance. Provides support for teams engagement efforts with employee and community stakeholders to execute community relations activities and create visibility, and supports completion of asset execution and brand alignment tasks. Coordinates activities to execute strategic plans and initiatives, executes standard and non-standard components of on-going strategic efforts, and executes on policies and processes for addressing community needs and brand/reputation management. Processes and manages sponsorship-related communications, and coordinates with internal stakeholders to ensure sponsorship participation/activation with minimal guidance.



Essential Responsibilities:

Collaborates cross-functionally to solve business problems; escalates issues or risks as appropriate; communicates progress and information. Supports, identifies, and monitors priorities, deadlines, and expectations. Identifies, speaks up, and implements ways to address improvement opportunities for team.

  • Seeks to understand and address community needs by: researching and gathering information related to community concerns, issues, and expectations to support the intersection of both community and business operational need; and analyzing and reporting on complex community health data and/or information in collaboration with Community Health and Operations partners.

  • Promotes employee and community engagement in alignment with business strategy by: coordinating activities to execute plans and initiatives; executing standard and non-standard components of on-going strategic efforts; and executing on policies and processes that address community need, community partnerships or community presence, employee engagement, and brand/reputation management.

  • Supports critical community relationships by: engaging with stakeholders from community organizations to execute community relations activities (e.g., events, investments, sponsorships), and supporting the completion of tasks to ensure asset execution and alignment with brand; supporting teams engagement efforts with internal and external stakeholders to help promote visibility in the community; and contributing to the work of relevant community and other local task forces, committees, and planning groups.

  • Serves as an educational and informational resource to others, internally and externally, by: responding to inquiries from community members with information and educational materials; and answering questions from internal departments on community health care and/or community relations process and policy, escalating as needed.

  • Contributes to successful internal and external community programming by: executing elements of projects, initiatives, and programs that support business objectives and community relations, with minimal guidance; completing complex tasks to support the coordination of employee engagement activities, community initiatives, and special events aligned with operational and business priorities and community engagement strategy; coordinating with internal/external stakeholders and vendors on the execution of employee engagement and other internal activities, community initiatives, and events, with minimal guidance; and collecting and analyzing outcome data and feedback to improve performance of projects, initiatives, events, and their respective impacts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Public Health, Public Administration, Sociology, Marketing, Business, Communications, Community Relations, Political Science, Public Relations, or related field AND minimum three (3) years of experience in community relations, community outreach, public relations, health care or public policy, nonprofit administration, or a directly related field OR Minimum six (6) years of experience in community relations, community outreach, public relations, health care or public policy, nonprofit administration, or a directly related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of experience building and managing relationships with external stakeholders.
  • One (1) year of experience in community engagement.
