2025 Summer Internship Program



Location:


This internship role is scheduled to be flexible. Please be prepared to spend part of your time working remotely and part of your time working at the following address: 3495 Piedmont Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305



Department Description:


The strategic planning team organizes and values work related to the integrated care model. They work with business partners to determine a 3-year plan for the Georgia region, manage mid-year planning, budget cycle, and end of year close.



Intern Project(s):


Projects will be dependent on the work the team is currently working on. Projects could be related to process improvements, internalizations, or new lines of business.



Target Majors:


Healthcare Administration; Finance & Accounting; Computer Science; Business Administration; Math/Statistics; Public Health



Target Skills:


Consulting skills, individuals who can work in ambiguity and have healthcare knowledge or a desire to work within the space.



Job Summary:

The Intern will gain hands on experience within an assigned department by working in various roles on closely monitored work assignments. The scope and depth of the roles will be appropriate for the organization, and suitable for the Interns educational background, interests, and experience.



Essential Responsibilities:


  • Perform a functional team role in one or more assignments during the internship period.

  • Learn the major functions of a departmental assignment through guided hands on work in various areas, and interaction with others.

  • Attend and actively participate in internship group meetings, discussions, and events.

  • Provide constructive feedback to the department, human resources, and school about how the Kaiser  internship can be enhanced for future interns.

Experience


  • Minimum three (3) months work experience. 

Education

  • High school diploma OR General Education Development (GED) required AND presently taking higher education level courses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum one (1) year prior work experience in a professional environment.
  • Major closely related to department or area of internship (ex. Marketing or Communications for Sales Internships, HR for Human Resources internships, any Health occupations or Health Management, etc.).
  • Enrollment in a related four (4) year program of study or enrollment in related graduate studies.
