Job Summary:

Proactively monitoring the design and development of training, ensuring curriculum accuracy, and proactively monitoring troubleshooting as needed. Proactively monitoring the selection of training methods and programs. Proactively monitoring training objectives for education modules and proactively monitoring clients reach their learning goals. Proactively monitoring the evaluation of alternative training techniques, procedures, and/or methods. Proactively monitoring the delivery of training programs, and guiding learners by leveraging adult learning principles. Leveraging advanced and in-depth knowledge to review evaluations used to assess the application of skills, knowledge, and training objectives. Uses best practices for training modalities, monitoring, and analyzing training results. Proactively monitoring the development, analysis, and management of program plans including scope identification and management, schedule, inter-dependencies, and resource forecast. Proactively monitoring the review of needs assessments for training and/or performance issues. Proactively monitoring research of training norms and industry standards within assigned areas.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Promotes learning in others by communicating information and providing advice to drive projects forward; builds relationships with cross-functional stakeholders. Listens, responds to, seeks, and addresses performance feedback; provides actionable feedback to others, including upward feedback to leadership and mentors junior team members. Practices self-leadership; creates and executes plans to capitalize on strengths and improve opportunity areas; influences team members within assigned team or unit. Adapts to competing demands and new responsibilities; adapts to and learns from change, challenges, and feedback. Models team collaboration within and across teams.

  • Conducts or oversees business-specific projects by applying deep expertise in subject area; promotes adherence to all procedures and policies. Partners internally and externally to make effective business decisions; determines and carries out processes and methodologies; solves complex problems; escalates high-priority issues or risks, as appropriate; monitors progress and results. Develops work plans to meet business priorities and deadlines; coordinates and delegates resources to accomplish organizational goals. Recognizes and capitalizes on improvement opportunities; evaluates recommendations made; influences the completion of project tasks by others.

  • Guides other groups within or outside the company by: consulting and collaborating with all relevant stakeholders to execute systems or region-wide change initiatives, region-wide culture change programs, and performance initiatives.

  • Driving the design and development of trainings by: maintaining, updating, and facilitating the creation and development of new and complex content (e.g., course curricula, training aids, and other supporting materials), ensuring curriculum accuracy, and providing troubleshooting as needed; selecting training methods (e.g., e-learning, in-person, classroom, on-site, just-in-time support, web sessions, blended learning, and conference calls) and programs; participating in the development of training objectives for education modules, authoring and revising training modules and supporting materials; guiding others to support clients and prioritize mainly long-term learning goals and ensuring objectives are in alignment with business unit goals; and implementing recommendations for alternative training techniques, procedures, and/or methods.

  • Evaluates programs training needs by: conducting complex needs assessments for a business function, market, and or enterprise.

  • Monitors effectiveness of training by: using advanced knowledge to lead others in measuring the effectiveness of training for a function or a market to ensure business needs are met.

  • Drives completion of projects by: developing, analyzing, and managing complex program plans which include scope identification and management, schedule, inter-dependencies, and resource forecast.

  • Drives the refinement of training and delivery by: actively participating in research of training norms and industry standards within assigned areas; and facilitating research efforts in training/education programs to improve stakeholder activities and enhance personnel growth and development.

  • Leads effective training delivery by: leading the training delivery of program(s) (e.g., orientation, customer service, and supervisory skills); coaching others on facilitation and guiding the use of adult learning principles, set standards, and troubleshoots when needed; determining and communicating the next steps to leaders as needed, based on the results of the application of skills, knowledge, and training objectives; providing feedback to trainers and planning the next steps based on training results; and serving as a master trainer by leading complex training and guiding other trainers and using best practices for training modalities (e.g., virtual, in-person classroom).
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Communication, Education, Behavioral Science, or a directly related field AND minimum eight (8) years of experience in training delivery, curriculum design, and training development and evaluation, or a directly related field, OR Minimum eleven (11) years of experience in the areas of training delivery, curriculum design, training development and evaluation, or a directly related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Four (4) years of experience in developing and conducting training programs on a variety of subjects.
  • Eight (8) years of experience delivering management and leadership training.
